HELP!?!Can anyone tell me what this POEM means?

The poet is describing how the magic of music moves his soul. The music takes him on a voyage where he moves with the swells and waves which transport him. At times he is calmed, at other times he is excited or even plunged into despair. It is as if he is a captive on a boat and the music defines the voyage.
