Anyone afraid of needles have/ getting an Epidural?

I am TERRIFIED of needles! With my first pregnancy I had planned to go at it naturally because I would rather have the pain of labor than a giant needle stuck in my back. HOWEVER I was induced and the labor was very intense and I decided that the needle would be over sooner than the labor pain and went ahead with it. It was of course not nearly as painful as I had ured myself it would be, and once I got it my body relaxed enough to allow me to dialate more quickly. This time around I will be getting it ASAP! I do however have a tiny scar from where the first one was placed.
