Are there alot of Racist in Spain?

I'm black and I'm about to study abroad in Spain this fall semester. I'll be residing in Bilbao and I was just wondering if many Spaniards are racist. I've read many different stories about the Spanish and most of them talked about racism at the football games. I'm just curious if I should be careful while there, and maybe not go to the football games.
