Resume question for a job help?

so am applying for a job for Instructional istant. does this sound good in the email I will send the guy " I would like to apply for a position as an Instructional istant at XYZ School" attachment my cover letter and resume. Should I asked something else to the email or should everything else be in the cover letter>??. if it has grammar errors can you fix them
