Is This A Good Idea For a Fantasy Series?

I read some of it but stoped when I found out he was a Half Demon, it just really reminds me of Devil May Cry. The main character is half-demon and hunts demons, just like your character. Also the whole school thing reminds me of Percy Jackson AND somewhat Harry Potter. Sorry, but it just really reminds me of them.
